Firstly the audio is not the best quality (although it is by no means bad either). During my first recoding sessions, the camera was picking up all kinds of background noises I was unaware of, and would often playback with an irritating background hum, fortunately the camera comes with a microphone port, and after fitting an external mic the audio has been perfect.

This Canon camera is a blast to use, it's small and super user friendly, which is one of the main reasons why I picked it over the Sony and of course because the price is much lower for this camera. The menus are so easy to use and the moveable touchscreen is great for when you want to take those Selfies. The amount of Options and possibilities you have is endless.

Always carried a DSLR and some Canon L lenses but it was tiring to carry them everywhere. Not anymore, the picture quality is great and they are so easy to use. Updated 2 years later and now have a 55-200mm, 11-22mm, 32mm, 22mm and a kit lens. My favorite is the 55-200mm zoom, it is a surprisingly sharp lens and almost as good as the 32mm. The 22mm and 11-22mm zoom lenses are equally sharp and after some Adobe processing they are very good. I have a 30000mAh usb power bank in my pocket and plug the 1.5 meter adapter cord into the power bank and then insert the dummy battery, which replaces the original battery I bought from and can shoot for days without running out of power. The package comes with all official Canon lens hoods except for the 32mm lens, I used the Canon 60F lens hood which is recommended for the 18-150 zoom lens but after a little persuasion it fits the 32mm lens perfectly. All in all I am very happy with my M50mkii and lenses, I only wish I didn't sell my 6D and 24-70L 2.8 mkii and 70-200L 2.8 mkii, but I'm reluctant to take them out when I'm out and on vacation due to the weight, but I will say that they are the sharpest lenses I've ever used, you can blow up your photos to the size you want and the images are still clear and sharp. Maybe one day I will invest in them again, but in the meantime I really like my Efm system. I know the Efm system has been discontinued and replaced by the R system, but you can have a more compact, lighter, and less expensive system and take the same quality photos for many years of enjoyment. I needed a basic mirrorless DSLR video camera, and this fit the bill. Once in a cage, mic fitted it preformed perfectly for what I needed with the standard kit lens that came with it. With an adaptor fitted my existing EF lenses fit perfectly. For a starter camera for someone wanting something smaller than a mirrored DSLR this is perfect. I can't wait for the Mk3 to come out.

The included microphone is very sensitive, and there's also a noise-canceling "windsock" for outdoor use - when testing it outdoors, we didn't have much wind to test its true potential. The tripod is very clever, folding up to form a handle, and also accommodating a remote control that can be tucked inside so you can use it on the move - imagine a veritable handheld gimbal - or unfold it to configure it as a mini tripod. For those who need a good, high-quality setup for any or all of the activities mentioned above, they'll likely have found it in this package.

It's good value for money and meets all my needs.
